Question about 2007 Pontiac Torrent AWD
Car won't start. not even clicking when turn the key. dome lights are on. i think it is the battery. how do i change the battery? Less than a week ago the stereo stopped working but the car still ran fine. Then suddenly this morning, car wouldn't start. Don't even know where the battery is so I can't remove it to see if that's the problem. Help! Not the first time the battery died on this vehicle. The first time was when it was only 3 months old. Recommend to everybody to NOT get a Pontiac Torment.
Get a n accredited battery shop out to load test and replace the battery
they use a memory minder to keep all security codes in tact while the battery is being replaced
then have the alternator/ charge circuit tested at an accredited auto electrician

Hi, i know that the link is about a different car type then yours, but the principles are the same.
Then place your new battery, connect it & test that it's working.
If your radio is working, write down it's security code.
Hope this helps you,

yes you can replace it. the bulb is removed from inside the engine compartment. if the burnt out bulb is on the battery side you will likely have to take the battery out. the socket generally turns about a quarter turn or so... have a look to see if there is a large ring that you turn and remove first.
One important detail do NOT touch the bulb with your fingers as it shortens the bulbs lifespan.
Please take a moment to rate this solution thanks

The fuse box is located under the hood. Look for a black plastic box under the hood. Open the top of the box to access the fuses. There is alos a fuse puller tool amoung the fuses in the fuse box. Consult your owner's manual for more info.

The Battery is located in the Battery Box under the Hood, behind the Headlight. In order to get to the battery itself you have to remove the lid of the battery box which holds the battery.
