Question about 1996 BMW 318

Bmw 318i i am going bloody mad ed , i have recentlty done my cylinder head to pressure test is passed also skimmering too ,now have put the cylinder head back on to engine block (new head gasket ),torque up rite ,starting up ok ,no any smoke coming out the back box ,well i took thermosat out cos older theromsat is knacker and i forget to get new 1 so i will soon when the temperature is gettin hot to near the red so i turn the engine off now i can hear lot of air comin out the raditor tank on top, also i see lots of bubbles so is that cos no thermosat in for pressurie the cooling or the head is F@@k again , any 1 help plz ,i really apprecatied

    yeah there is was a problem on the cylinder head no 3 no 4 ,warped

    dauoanke : that cos the head gasket goned ,lots white smoking coming out the back so i assume is the head gasket is goned so i was right about it :)

    i have the bleed the cooling system , i tell u wat i bleed in 2 days to get it rite but is not :s

    dave944 ,hey it is right now i have been driving around 4 over 2 hours so no problem :) it is all good ,i have done everything i could do but i wish i did put the new thermosat in first place lol :)

    CAN YOU JUST TELL ME HOW THIS ALL THING START BECAUSE I THINK YOUR PROBLEME IS THE RADIATOR BUT YOU STILL NEED TO PUT A NEW THERMOSTAT

    I believe that it's a 2 stage thermostat and it must be installed for the coolant to be directed through the engine.

The car's engine is overheating !
Its not because you forgot to fit in the thermostat there could be other problem, like tht of the water pump, radiator clogged up, cooling fan.
You have to check them all.
Was there any problems before you pulle out tht cylinder head?
