Question about 2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited Sedan
Door code does not work. Have the original code, but my guess is one of the drivers pressed some combination in error that disabled the numeric key pad. Any suggestions, how to fix it, so I can use the numeric pad on the door again?
Best way to check the numeric keypad is to press the last 2 buttons simultaneously. (7-8 + 9-0) If you hear the door lock, then the keypad is working. If this is the case, it's possible that the previous owner added their own code. This is done when applying the original code and then immediately entering their own code. This is undone by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10mins. This should restore the keyless entry back to the factory defaults meaning your original code should now work.
Hope this solves your problem. Best of luck and please post back with any other questions.
