Question about 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII
After a couple of trys it stops sometimes hear clicking in switch wait then it starts working after a couple more trys it stops again sometimes going up sometimes going down
This sounds like an over-current circuit that is tripping. If there is too much mechanical resistance, this circuit (if used) would interrupt the voltage supply to the motor to prevent overheating if the switch is held after the pane has reached either its upper or lower limit. Listen carefully to the motor while raising or lowering the window to ascertain if it sounds like a groan at some points along the travel. The window may be getting too much drag from gaskets or the elevation mechanics (possibly from rust or dry pivots) that is causing the motor to draw too much current and tripping the over-current protection.
