2003 Chevy PU Brake Lights

The brake lights on my 2003 Chevy PU do not burn. The light on the cab works as well as the trailer lights. I have checked the fuses and found no problem. Help!!

I checked the bulbs and they are good. I checked the VEH STOP and the STOP LP fuses. Did I miss the critical one? Is there a relay that allows the turn signal to over-ride the brake light that could be bad?

The trailer plug wiring just taps into the truck harness to the rear lights so if the truck lights work, the problem is in the wiring, not a fuse.

Taillights and signals work but no brake lights?

Check the brake light switch. It should be energized when the switch is depressed. (constant power in and power out only when pedal is pressed) Taillights and signals power through the steering column and light switch. BUT first check the fuses. I seem to remember there being a fuse for the truck brake lights and another for the trailer brake lights. Use a tester and check trailer wiring brake lights. If they work, look for the truck brake light fuse.

2000 Chevy CK, have hazard lights, turn signals,

test your brake switch located on the brake fulcrum. you can unhook the wires and usea paper clip to connect the two wires together if the brake lights come on then replace the switch, if it does not come on and the bulbs are ok then replace turnsignal switch.

Running lights work but not brake nor signal lighys to my trailer

check the trailer itself. it may not be your vehicle's harness. also, check with an appropriate trailer dealer, both your 4 way and the trailer harness.
