Question about 1991 Ford Aerostar Extended
Intermittent ignition on this 1991 aerostar. It has a 4 wire pickup to the dist. and the ignition module is mounted on the R/F fender. Need to know where the ignition system gets it ground and what the 4 wires to the hall effect dist. pickup do. Chilton is no help. They only show the circuit for the dist. mounted ignition module. Ignition module is a CBE40Z with one 6 pin connector. Where can I add a temp. ground wire? Schematic would be nice.
I do not have the pinout for the ignition module connector , however I hope that the 1993 Ford Aerostar wiring diagram on this website can help.
There is also a recall on Forde aerostar ignition System for model 1991/1993 , that means that if you contact a Ford authorized dealer, or contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673, you may have the job done at a garage for free. See FORD MOTOR COMPANY Recall for 1991 FORD AEROSTAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
