snorkelbobby ,Thank you for the email .I have a question it says the connector is behind the lower RH side of the I/P. Is this the kick panel on the pasture side?

I got a not so good electrical schematic from the local ford lot that shows the #18 fuse .It shows the air bag being on this circuit .So I tried unhooking the air bag control sensor .and now it does not blow the fuse and you can smell where the sensor has gotten hot.Can I replace it with one from a junk yard?

Your best bet is to get the wiring diagram from either a shop manual or like a haynes manual. Even thou the fuse is labeled as speedometer it may also feed something else.

I'm glad you found what was causing the fuse to blow. A wiring diagram is almost a must when troubleshooting electrical. you may be able to find that sensor at a pick-a-part or wrecking yard. Just be extreamly careful, it is very easy to set off the air bag. Make sure that all power is off before working around that area.

Check the wire 296, white/pink for a short to ground. Disconnect this connector and see if fuse still blows. If yes, short in wiring, not cluster. Connector is
Behind lower RH side of I/P, below glove compartment

i would say it is behind glove box. Pin 3 is the circuit you want. Look for a 12 pin connector with the colors of the wires I gave you.

I may have the wiring manual for this truck. Let me know what you find.

This problem might be due tho the part there might be some sort of short circuit or loose connections appearing in the electrical system connecting the odometer.if you have the circuit for the car through manuals, its easy to do.but if you dont have one, please write back to us. thanks for contacting fixya!

For 2004 ford truck f150 extended cab, I found the horn fuse, where is the horn relay?

disconnect the horn or horns, operate the horn and see if the fuse still blows. if the fuse still blows then there is most likely a short in the wiring. relays rarely cause shorts. if the fuse doesnt blow with the horn disconnected, reconnect the horn and operate the horn again, if the fuse blows you have a shorted horn.

I usually go to http://www.2carpros.com/diagrams/ford/ranger/1994 for timing belt diagrams. That link is to the 1994 ranger, surprisingly they didn't list the F150 at all. You didn't post the motor size or I would have tried getting you a direct link to that motor.

#15 fuse keeps blowing in my 02 ford f150

If it is Fuse #15, that looks to be an issue with your brake lamps or cruise control.

did you have
recall 05S28. Description: Speed Control Deactivation Switch. Part number 1L1Z-9F924-AA is the last one I have. 14 supplements in the recall series.

If you did not have the recall done, or if the secondary switch has fluid in it, the recall part has failed and needs to be replaced.

If you disconnect this at the end of the master cylinder, and jumper the plug and replace the fuse, does it still blow ?

Remove the shroud around the steering column and shifter and look closly at the wires coming out of the shifter at the pivot of the shifter, if its not to bad you can tapeit and reposition it and be good to go.
