It may sound obvious, but have you changed your inline fuel filter? if so, try a"fuel system cleaning" next.  available at most oil change garages. It runs anywhere between $60-120 and does a pretty thorough job of flushing out the fuel injectors and cleaning out of all the fuel delivery components. I've seen some amazing results with the flush.

Check the TBI base gasket, these were known for sucking in near the vacuum hoses in the front. Use a tube to your ear to pinpoint the base of the TBI or spray carb cleaner at the base it will change the idle when it sucks in the cleaner. I will check back to see if this solves the problem. code 13 can be for the O2 not cycling between rich and lean. Vacuum leaks cause lean condition.

1996 chevy 1500 4wd pu. carb. problems. rough start, and takeoff, poor gas mileage, and not shifting. has tbi.

Check the TPS, (throttle position sensor), and the IAC, (idle air control motor), for proper operation. Rebuild TBI unit if necessary. Kits are available aftermarket.

P1299 code after replacing the plenum gasket. Rough and sometimes erratic idle.

This code indicates a large vacuum leak. You can sometimes find a leaky gasket by spraying ether on the gaskets while the engine idles. If the engine changes speed while the gasket is sprayed, you have found the leak.

No data from ecm but i can get codes from it on my 1993 ford f150 . The truck idles up and down after warmed up. I smoked 2 times now no problem found. New iac / tps / cts / afs I put a new ecm already

sounds like a vacuum leak still, check egr and also could be possible intake leak.
Spray bottle with water is best, and will run even more rough or stall when you found the leak.

90 chevy 350 with TBI starts but wont stay running changed fuel filter and fuel regulator dont know what next

I have a 90 chevy k1500 350 tbi with same problem! I have traced problem to... after turning on key fuel pump kicks on when u crank it over injectors shoot gas and truck starts! After few seconds injectors stop spraying and truck dies! This can happen many times over and over! Eventually sometimes truck stays running and all is great! I changed ignition module, oil pressure sending unit (which i was told controls gas after vehicle is running) fuel filter, computer, fuel pump relay, I am at a loss now! Hope this helps and hope someone can help me!

I have a n 87 chevy suburban and it sputter when i start up and i replaced the iac the map and the tps but the distributor shaft is loose will that cause truck to sputter and idle irract and theres no...

The distributor shaft should not move from side to side. The tps has to be adjusted with a voltage meter to the correct settings. Plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor should be changed at the same time and this will eliminate any carbon tracking from wire to plug resulting in a misfire.

87 chevy truck with TBI idles too fast

Spray the intake with carb cleaner to find the vacuum leak. Check where the EGR mounts and the throttle body gasket sense you had both off.
