Raise the ride height? It looks like your front air shock absorbers have failed... of could be the air line manifold near the metal air storage tank.

What's the cheapest way to fix rear Air shocks


Well you have electronic controlled suspension which uses air shocks among other components.
The shocks are unique to Cadillac and your model fits various cars from 1998 until 2005.
You can buy replacement parts new, or used. I'm not aware of anyone who makes the shocks in standard form due to the electronic control feature.

Oil type for 1998 xj8


I recommend full synthetic or semi synthetic 5W40W or 10W40W in hotter climates. Oil capcity is 6.4 quarts with filter

Jaguar xj8 2001 just completed timing chain & tensioner replacement. engine cranks won't start, what is the best trouble shooting sequence to use?


DID YOU RECONNECT IGNITION COILS AND THE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING SOLENOIDS.CHECK SPARK PLUGS IF YOU GETTING SPARK AT SPARK PLUGS.MORE LIKELY VALVE TIMING OFF.

Boot will not lift properly


the boot is released by the gas lift shocks,when they go back then the boot wont clear the lever far enough to release it.I would have the gas boot lift shocks replaced.

Hi, Do you have to lower the whole of the rear supension to change the rear shock absorbers on a jaguar xj8 2000 model


no they come preloaded and once you undo the hook it will open fully if anything a jack is all you will need to raise the shock up enough to place the bolt back into place

98 xj8 rattle from rear near side???


It could be the springs on the handbrake shoes. Jaguar sell a rubber sleve to fit over the spring to stop just this noise!!
