Question about 2000 Chevrolet S-10
I have a 2000 V6 S10 Xtreme that runs perfect until you turn it off when it's hot and try to start it again. Open the hood and let it cool down and it starts right up. Runs great otherwise.
Sounds like your starter might be going out. Sometimes when they start to go bad they will not start properly when they are hot. When you give it time to cool down it will start right back up. The other thing it could be would be a coil pack because they will do the same thing but I would think if it was the pack that you would have problems with it shutting down while you were running. Take the starter to your auto parts store and have them test it several times to simulate being hot and see what they say. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!
