The heater core is located under the dash, in the center. The container holding the core looks like a black plastic box. Remove the ash tray for easier access. You may have to also remove some other covers under the dash. You must first drain the radiator then you have to disconnect the hoses. There are two hoses connected to nipples of the heater core that go thru the center of the firewall. Remove the screws that hold on the cover to the heater core. Then you should be able to get the old one out. There might be a couple of other minor steps but I'm sure you can figure them out. For re-installation just go in reverse order to put it all back together.

2003 buick lesabre limited heater blows cool air even when at operating temp

This may also have been caused by mixing regular anti-freeze with dex cool, which causes the coolant to become like pudding and clogging the heater core. They are NOT compatible. It may need to be professionally flushed with the proper chemicals. If one hose is hot and the other is colder, the core is most likely plugged. Going through this on one now.

Your heater core has sprung a leak. This is about a 6 hour repair. Look for a reputible shop locally to do this. The part cost is roughly 80$

NO, this year and model is not bad. the dash doesnt have to come out. on this model its done from under the hood, remove the hoses to ccore at the core then remove the cover and remove the heater core, if theres a switch in front of the cover remove also, the job is time rated at 2.5 hours. here a diagram to help you,9702c78.gif

94 buick lesabre a/c works but heater does not it only blows cool air. only one hose is hot runnining into fire wall. what is the problem? and how to fix it? Thank you

If only one hose is hot you've got a blocked heater core resulting from either sediment in the core or a defective heater valve. Check the voltage to the valve with the heater controls set to high, if there's no voltage you need to replace the valve. If the valve is working you need to get the sediment out of the core itself. Sometimes you can get lucky and reverse flush the core using a hose on the outflow hose. But most times you need to remove the core to clean it.

Need to replace heater core in 1993 buick. water leaking on floor board. need to know the location

the core is under the middle of the dash - look in under hood - you will see 2 aluminum pipes going behind motor into firewall - these are a/c lines - close to this you will also see 2 black hoses about thumb size - these are the heater hoses to the heater core - the dash might have to come out to get heater core from a/c fan housing
