thanks for the help. I ohmed the wires and found 2 shorted for driver's window.. Can't find any damaged areas. Ended up pulling the one touch realy #2 in fuse panel. The short cleared, the interior lights and all windows work EXCEPT driver's side. Might just disconnect one of the rear and hook that power to the front.

Yes, you just pull hard on the relay to pull it out, i dont beleive this is your problem tho. first place i would check is the rubber boots in the front door jams. pull them back ( with the batt. unhooked) and look for broken wires- or wires that are missing insulation and are laying on the vehicle body. hope this helps and good luck

How do i change a 100amp fuse on my relay box on my toyota rav4 1996 model

Go buy new fuse so you can see how it installs. Likely just pulls out (tight) and pushes back in, but with part in hand you should be able to tell.

KEEP BLOWING THE FUSE AS SOON AS IT IS ENTERED IN THE FUSE BOX.

If you can pull the plug from the wiper motor and try fuse. If no change disconnect the plug to the electric windows and try fuse. Unlikly to be in dome light circut unless you have had aftermarket sterio system or other accessory fitted recently

White smoke came out of the engine compartment while I was driving, smelling like burnt plastic or wires? The car was not overheating. As soon as I shifted into Park the engine shut off.The car won't...

I would start with which fuses you blew in the fuse box. That will give you an indication on which areas to look hard at. It sounds like you had an electrical fire and that now you have multiple fuse blown with other damage. DON'T REPLACE THE FUSES until you have found the problem that caused them to blow.

Where is the fuse for the door ajar chime in a 1998 ford f150 2wd 6 cyl truck? I have a sloppy ignition on this truck, I can start the truck without a key. But until I can replace it I need to take fuse...

Water intrusion causes f150's fuse boxes to corrupt. This is porbably your problem. Mine does the same thing, if you disconnect the fuse to the chime, you will lose your windshield wipers as well.. Check and see if your windshield wipers turn on even with no key in the ignition. Soon your fuses will start blowing left and right. You prbably need a new fuse box. Don't let anyone talk you into replacing it with a used one. My mechanic has replaced it with a used one 5 times to no avail. They were all bad. Afetr paying him almost $300 he refuses to work on it anymore. Even though it still isn't fixed. I even offered to pay the difference for a new fuse box. I have basically been screwed out of $300. So take my advise just pay the $400 for a new one from Ford to save yourself a headache.

sounds like you have a short in the electrical system between the ignition and the fuse box. it might be metal to metal somewhere inbetween in the wiring that is makeing the fuse blow out everytime

1986 RV blows instrument panel fuse when switch pulled

The headlight switch has a rheostat built into it to dim your dash lights, it may have shorted out. As soon as you turn on the switch this rheostat comes into play and is probably whats blowing the fuse. I think if you replace the headlight switch, it will solve your problems.
