Question about 1998 GMC Sonoma

1 Answer

Mileage quit working then converted to kilometers.

I have a 1998 Sonoma 2.2L engine..At times the mileage would stop working. I found out if I disconnected a battery cable and reconnected it, the mieage would begin working again. About 3 weeks ago, the miloeage changed from 98000 +- miles to 159000 kilometers. I tried to get it to change back disconnecting the battery cable but it is still on kilometers after several attempts. Any thoughts? Dwight

How litres of lpg per ten kilometers for a Daewoo lanos

as lpg expands to around 200 times the liquid state it will be difficult to calculate as how you want it
the car has a liquid tank but the liquid is converted to gas in a converter on the manifold.
basically from experience an engine on lpg gets about 75% of the mileage as if it was on petrol for the same amount of lpg in litres
talk wit an accredited specialist automotive gas fitting shop and they may be able to give you a better idea
you can work it out by filling the lpg tank to shut off and setting the trip meter to zero and then when you have done say 100 klms refill the lpg tank to shut off and that will indicate how many litres were used in that 100 kilometers

Why does my 1995 Sonoma 4.3 bogg down when I give it gas or passing gear?

Depending on the mileage, the most common problems are low fuel volume due to a restricted fuel filter or weak fuel pump. The other possible cause is a partially clogged catalytic converter, which puts back pressure on or "boggs" the engine when trying to accelerate.

Purchased focus sport 2006 model no service manual. Mileage 43,000 kms. Need to know service intervals either time/mileage perhaps a copy of the service schedule will suffice.

These maintenance intervals come from the maintenance interval calculator
at www.autozone.com, using a starting point of 25,800 miles (43000 km), and
assuming 1000 miles (1666 km) driven per month, and "severe driving conditions," which
are actually normal usage characteristics, such as frequent short trips, urban driving, waiting in traffic, driving in hot weather, trips under 16 km in cold weather, etc.

Have a 1996 Sonoma 6cyl. with L60e tranny. Engine revs up before truck starts moving. Fluid is pink and full?

If the transmission has a lot of mileage on it, it's possible your torque converter went out.

Hi i have just changed the speedometer and the kilometer are not ligting , how do i enable them

Do you mean you changed the speedometer and the mileage is not showing? You will have to bring it to a dealer to have it reprogrammed. This system is to prevent you from changing out the mileage display and showing lower mileage for the vehicle.

I bought a used 2003 A4 Convertible Audi 3.0 Feels it burns more gas than expected. Is there anything I can check or do to reduce that. Thanks Sean

to see what you get for mileage, take it to a gas station and fill it till the pump stops and reset your trip meter. Drive it around like you normally would to work or whatever till the tank is almost empty and go fill it up again till the pump stops. Its best to go to the same pump you used before. Once it is full look to see how many gallons or liters you put in(This is how many you used since the last time you filled up). Take the number of miles/kilometers from your trip meter(the number of miles/kilometers you drove since you last filled up) and divide it by the gallons/liters you used and you will get your miles/kilometers per gallon/liter. Compare this with the rating your vehicle is suppose to get. But remember it can very depending on how you drive.
Miles/kilometers divided by gallons/liters

This morning when I started my '98 Voyager. It started for about five seconds then turned off. This happened three times. Started it one more time and revved the engine. Same thing, five seconds then off....

I think the reason it starts and turns off is most likely you fuel pump the abs light on could be the brake fluid level and or the brakes may need replaced.
