Question about 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer
My 2007 XLT Ford Explorer has the Service motor on, and the scanner calls for code P0506, Idle control system RPM lower than expected. I´d appreciate your sugestions to solve this Thanks
It's common that you get a lot of carbon build up at the base of the throttle body. Give it a good spray cleaning with injector cleaner and dry it with a hair dryer. If you find it still to dirty, you can try it again with a second can or if you can try using Sea Foam that you can buy at an auto parts store like Auto Zone. The Sea foam will clean out the carbon but also create a lot of smoke.
When i say lot's of smoke, just do a search on You Tube for Sea Foam. Good luck and hope this helps.
