Engine and transmission removal from 1997 Mistubishi Eclipse

I would like to know if it is possible to pull the engine and transmission out as one. If so, what are the steps start to finish? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

It is possible to drop them as one. Nobody is going to sit here and type a story book to tell you how to remove it. Buy a "haynes manual" for your vehicle, and read it. It will tell you the exact steps to take.

Is this front wheel drive? If so, the entire drive assembly comes out the bottom. You have to disconnect everything needed and raise the car off the engine cradle assy. I do it with Ford Taurus's all the time, even SHO's.

Where do I add Transmission fluid on a 95 ford Probe??

So you know, I am not insulting you. I don't know what you know or what you don't know. From your symptoms, I'm confused. If you pulled the trani pan down and the trani dip-stick still read "Full", you pulled the wrong dip-stick. Your transmission takes Mercon and you will need a narrow funnel that will fit inside the trani dip-stick tube. Follow the dip-stick tube all the way to the bottom and verify that it goes to the transmission. When you pulled the trani pan down you should have four or more quarts empty into your drain-pan. Until you can confirm that the the trani is properly filled, don't continue to use the car. Running the engine while the trani is empty can damage internal componants. If you have any questions, please write back, good luck.

94 voyager is stuck in second gear. no check engine light

if you are not mechanical, or don't have the tools, like an engine horst, to work on this, my best advice is bring it to.a good transmission shop with these front wheel drive transmission, the engine needs to be supported to pull the transmission out sounds like a snap ring broke, or valve body needs a rebuild, it could your governor not building up enough pressure, because when you shut if off, and start it again, your pressure builds up.again these front wheel drive transmissions are not fun to work on, so if your not familiar with these transmissions then it's best to.have a transmission shop fix for you

How many litres of fluid will fill a 1991 holden rodeo transmission?

General advice:Relative
Manual transmission back dif 1,5-2l,front (gear box)3-3,5
Automatic:Over 4l.
Yet,u need to confirm with the dipstick (the one availabile or a rigid wire used as deepstick)
U may take note of what comes out before replacing.
Some transmission need to start the engine and run the trans then ceck level again.
I know is a general advice,but u must treat the cars as a innumerous marks/models and deal fine without factory specs.If not,u need owner manual,dealers visit,shop info,etc.
Cheers let others know if u done it.

I did a transmission and filter change on my passat. However i missed a step in d fill process causing my tyranny to be underfilled. Eventually after idling the engine and adding more atf. The transmission...

frist . you must .fil two to three liter , then start engine shift to revers , fill two liter while you are filing ATF observe the atf evel . this one will take 3 minute , untill finish . shift to parking , fix all plugs then start and check . if the atf is need to add you will feel late in ******* with knoking . all this case becuz of less ATF in torqe convertor insinde and this will fill only when runing

Just started to pull away from a stop in 1st and

sounds as though your input shaft broke, this would cause a loud clunk, cause it to feel as though in gear, and cause no pull.
