Reset the fuel pump shut-off switch that normally only trips in an accident. You must have really bounced the car to trip that safety switch! There are other possibilities, but this is most likely. Good Luck. Info in owners manual on how to reset.

When I hit a bump I bounce and bounce and bounce.

If the bouncing is in the front it is probably a strut.
If the bouncing is in the rear it is probably a shock
look for the shock to be oily indicating the shock is bad. But
usually if the car is bouncing two or three time after hitting a bump
the shock has either broken or come completely loose.

How can you tell when a shock absorberb is not good

if your vehicles bounces when u go over a bump your shocks are bad and in need of replacement. a good shock absorber should "absord" the bump thus keeping the vehicle from bouncing.

Front end bouncing, I think it's the shocks

Is it a bounce or a vibration. If it where the struts you would only feel it when you went over a bump. To me it sounds like you have a tire issue. Either a tire is seperated or maybe out of balance. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

My back wheel when it hit a pot hole or any other bump in the street it bounce or not enough bounce to it ...the struts are ok an suspension is ok I was told so whats goin on..can u help me

I not sure if I fully understand your question. Are you asking should your car be bouncing more when you hit a bump or pot hole?

Well this is how struts and shocks are suppose to work: Struts and shocks are suppose to assist in providing a smooth ride, when you hit a bump or pot hole the struts and shocks absorb the force so you won't feel the full impact when driving. A good set of struts and shocks will eliminate excessive bouncing when driving or when you come across bumps and other mishaps in the road. So inconclusion if your car is not doing a whole lot of bouncing when you are driving that is a good thing, because that means your struts and shocks are doing their job and that means there is nothing wrong with them.
