I strongly recommend that you don't use any stuff with stop leak. It does not stop leaks and further if you need a technician to work on it, it will destroy the insides of the expensive machine used by the shop.
These systems are more complex than the older ones and require more know-how to get them right. If you don't have the proper gauge set and evacuation pump, the results you get from a self charge may me minimal at best.

You can jump the A/C clutch fan right on the compressor, be careful though. Lack of oil in the system will cost you a new A/C compressor.
Cheaper if you go to Auto Zone and by the recharge kit for your truck, I think it's like under $45.00 for the R134 canister with stop leak and the hose fitting.
Good luck and hope this helps. Here is a link for re charging A/C

1994 Chevy Silverado AC clutch will no in gauge. wired straight from the battery and it worked. Checked the fuse under dash and it is good. Is there another fuse located some where in the truck?

check your low pressure switch , and do you have gas in a/c unit if low it will not cycle on because a/c system don't have enough pressure to pressure switch to send signal to pcm were it will send signal to relay to cut on a/c compressor. If i can help further just re post.
