I personally own an 91 integra im a mechanics student and is not an easy job . . first u have to move take all the accesory belts off move the power steering pump witout disconnecting the hoses , remove the right side motor mount , remove valve cover , take off timing cover , top middle and bottom make sure u lable eveything , also use a jack and jack stands to hold car and support the engine . remove crankshaft pulley,. if u change water pump i suggest u change timing belt too while your there . . the hardest thing is to deal with the timing you have to line it up perfect so it can start and also how tight the timiing belt is so it wont slip and cause damages, i personally did its not so easy . let me know if you got anymore questions

I've got a Honda accord 1995 ex . It's over

More likely it's yr heating pipes let water escape so check these thoroughly. Could be head gasket leaking into engine so chk that immed for any sign of water on the oil stick. Otherwise flush the engine water thru for an oily blockage. Always use coolant. cheers

1991 Accord: I have a 1991 honda accord ex and after the hoses ...

You may have a cracked head, block or blown head gasket that is leaking combustion gas into the cooling system. If you dont have a combution leak detector kit you can take it to a trusted mechanic tell them the problems you've had and the parts you've replaced. Ask them to check for a combustion leak in the cooling system. A minor combustion leak in the cooling system can sometimes mimic the symptoms of overheating.

1991 honda accord- coolent leaked out from water pump area but water pump seems fine-also when car is ideling car would have little power surges and come close to dying - any ideas

for the water pump leaking, get some engine coolant stop leak from any automotive store, it usually contains pump seal lubricant also. the power surges are a separate problem from your pump leak.

Water pump is leaking and causing the engine to overheat. The pump has been "repaired" what shall i do now?

obviously the water pump was never fixed properly if it is still leaking, take it back to were you had it repaired and have them repair it properly. A number of problems could cause your vehicle to over heat.
-water pump not working properly.
-low antifreeze.
-air lock.
- rad cap not working properly.
-thermos stat not working properly.

Leak from the water pump

  • first of all you are probably going to need a torque wrench for the crank shaft pulley bolt it has 225lbs.of torque or more.I just did one on my 1991 honda accord dx .you have to take off a/c belt ,alternator etc. on the crank pulley.(I took it to a shop and they heated the 3/4 in. bolt and used torque wrench. I broke a half inch breaker bar trying to get it offf) next use puller to take off crankshaft pulley.support motor and remove motor mount bracket. take off upper and lower timing belt covers.take off timing belt and other belt using the tensioners.take off and replace water pump CHECK ALL TIMING MARKS with #1 piston@TDC. There are about 6.

Coolant leaking into engine Compartment

Sounds like a blown coolant hose, or a faulty coolant water pump.

Replace a water pump on a 1991 civic

Hey maybe one of the tube that attaches to your water pump is punctured that or you'll notice that when the AC is in use the car will let water out, which is no problem at all the car naturally does that.
