Front brake lines

hi ,having troubled with rusted lines?best way to do it is getting a few pre-double flared segments of brake lines of different lenght,a couple union and a bending tool(it could be a special pliers or a rounding shape tool, very cheap at harbort freight or any major autopart shop) tha would be of a lot of help and speed.as far as the base of the question(routing the lines) this particular vehicle has extra holding clips to add another line,so the procedure is eliminate the factory brake lines and just another line(s) by just following the course and contorsions of the older ones and bleed the lines once you done.the image it's not from a suv but basically same concept. 40aef758-c2bb-4b89-a046-88ad8b9424bf.jpg

Need to replace all metal brake lines

There has never been brake line diagrams

Very little of value in factory manuals

You don't need diagrams, as your replacing what
is already there

You will be fabricating brake tubing you bought at
the auto parts store & can adjust the routing for ease
of bending etc & still use the original mounting points.

I'm I missing something you want to do?

KIND HARD TO GET A BRAKE LINE DIAGRAM.YOU HAVE TO A SALVAGE YARD LOOK FOR CARS WITH THE N BODY SAME YEARS AS YOUR CAR IF YOU HAVE A OLDS ALERO A 99 MODEL LOOK FOR BUICK SKYLARK , OLDS ACHIEVA AND GRAND AM, THE MALIBU AND OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS.LOOK AND FOLLOW THE BRAKE LINES ROUTING FROM MASTER CYLINDER TO UNDERNEATH THE CAR.BRAKES LINES HAVE TO BE AWAY HOT ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND PIPES.BRAKES LINES HAVE TO BE AWAY FROM ENGINE OR DRIVE TRAIN THAT CREATES VIBRATIONS WHICH CAN CAUSE BRAKE LINES TO BREAK.BRAKE LINES HAS TO BE SECURE IN BRACKETS.WHEN YOU GO TO SALVAGE YARD LOOK AT CARS I LISTED ABOVE.SAME BODY STYLE TAKE NOTE DRAW DIAGRAM ROUGH DRAFT OF HOW BRAKES LINES ARE ROUTED AND SECURE IN BRAKETS.THAT WILL GIVE YOU A IDEA WHERE TO RUN NEW BRAKE LINES.

Do i need to remove fuel tank to replace brake lines on 1997 expedition

I have never heard of a reason to replace brake hard lines. Thier are short flexable ones that can replaced but no reason to unless someone put the wrong fluid in and swelled the rubber parts. In that case you would also need wheel cylinders and a master cylinder

Will home made brake lines affect brake pressure on a 2000 silverado if not bent the same or the same length

As long as no kinks, you should be o.k. If longer, will just take more fluid to get them full. Be sure to bleed properly & route them out of the way of anything that could damage them due to hanging to low, or rubbing on something, that's the main reason they are routed as they are from factory.
