You could try using vice-grips, if the nut is not too tight.

This might do a bit of damage to the nut, but you can easily purchase a new nut once you have the tire changed.

Depending on locking nut type.
If it's like mine, having a recessed "clover leaf channel" then you can only weld something to it like a bolt, if its an alternative nut type I.E. star or some other shape with edges, you can hammer a cheap socket over it and try that.(once the socket is shaped you can usually remve the rest and replace with new ones)

The rear bearing is a complete unit held on by a single centre nut. Remove the hub, press out the old bearing, refit the new one. This is a safety critical item and require trained knowledge and workshop tools. A new nut is required for restaking when correctly torqued up.
Go online to images for Ford Focus wheel bearing to get an idea of whats involved.

If you turn the steering wheel in either direction and the key switch does not free up , then you need to have the lock cylnder replaced.

Code- c1517. overheat protection mode not present

you might need to get your weels rebalenced that can sometimes cause the car to pull to one side than the other so go to a machanic to get the weels balanced

hope this helps

2001 ford focus steering is lock, how to unlock it? this is the third time it happened.is this serious?

When you try to start the car does the key seem stuck, not turning? Occasionally I have to turn the steering wheel just a little before the key will turn. Always try to straighten your front wheels when you park before turning off the car, this puts less strain on the locking part of the steering wheel and makes it easier to start the car next time. The serious part of a steering wheel is the air bag, do not try to disassemble the steering wheel yourself, you may want to take it to a mechanic you trust in case an interior part of your steering wheel needs replacing.

That's my guess.

Tyre puncture

if it is an alloy wheel ,it may be stuck around the hub where the wheel is placed.sometime there is rust around the hub thus preventing the wheel from coming out.So you have to slightly kick the wheel tyre from behind hardly and it will come out and if necessary a bit hard. Thanks
