The drivers side wiper will not sweep, when I turn on the wipers the passenger side works fine. The driver side attempts but doesnt sweep. So I doubt its the wiper motor. any ideas are welcome.

check the nut at the base of the wiper arm . There is a splined taper on the end of the wiper arm shaft and if this is loose then the arm shaft moves but it turns inside the base of the wiper arm.

usually it is the switch on the motor(plastic cover) you might try and snap it off the motor, clean the contacts, then apply dielectric grease to the plastic arm assembly.

How do i get my wipers in the correct spot ?

remove the nuts on the wiper arms ... They may be under a cap ... but are always located at the center of the bottom of the arm...
Turn the wipers on (with arms off) and then turn them off again...
When the wiper transmission has stopped and is at rest ... place the wiper arm on in a possition close to the bottom of the windscreen and lightly tighten the nuts back up...
Test to be sure they are where you want them... being sure they are not resting on the windscreen trim... and tighten and recap the nuts...

Wiper arms stuck in up position

the circuit board in the wiper motor is at fault. It should be replaced just by removing the wiper motors black plastic cover. The circuitry is inside of that cover

1997 Audi Quatro A4 Wiper allingment problem

Hi, what you need to do is where the wiper is attatched their is a plastic cover covering the nut that holds the wiper blade onto the motor this is located at the base of teh wiper blade arm. Not under the bonned its on top their will be plastic cover pull this off it should pull up with your hand or use screwdriver then under this their should be a 12 or 13ml nut undo this.
Once you have undone this you will see what the wiper is splined onto you need to pull the wiper up off this spline you might need to lever it with screwdriver gently. Once it is off you will see that the spline and the wiper blade arm has grooves that help you allign it now you move it untill you have it in the right possition.
(do this with the wiper in its resting possition then adjust it untill the blade no longer goes further than it should.

Hope this is some help to you let me know if you need further assistance

one mote. Look under the wiper arm cap at the end and see i f there is a nut. tighten it a bit if it is there. if no nut or bolt stud then the inside part of the wiper arm has stripped out.
