Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Just replaced the heater coil on my 94 Cherokee and now when started, it will run perfectly for about three seconds and just dies abruptly. The code 12, for PCM was disconnected within last 50 cycles is appearing. After consulting the instructions of a DIY procedure it said DO NOT DISCONNECT PCM. Well I did, and here I am, any suggestions?
If you have a security system, close all the doors and then lock the drivers door with the key, then unlock it. That should re-set the system. I've had the computer completely disconnected from mine several times (used it to check another vehicle) and I don't have security...it started and ran fine...only difference between the two is the security so I'd try that.
