Question about 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser

1 Answer

My 2006 PT 2.4 Turbo PT Cruiser gets 15 mpg on the highway when it's supposed to get 22 to 24 mpg.

I have an 06 PT Cruiser that gets from 15 to 16 miles per gallon on 89 or 93 octane fuel when other people I have talked to with the same vehicle get anywhere from 22 to 29 mpg on average. What could the problem be?

I have an 03 cruiser a/t turbo that is getting terrible gas milage. Can I do anything to correct this? The car only has 70,000 miles on it and with 12-15 mpg i now know why

sometimes it also contribute from driving habit especially on how to use tha gas pedal, you need to check that your tires are in good amount air, you also consider the road and your baggage inside your car, anyway if you run your vehicle in a normal usage, i think you need to chek the following; 1) check your air filter, 2) your oxygen sensors, 3) catalytic converters, and 4) engine thermostat (malfunction), all these are related for emmision, if you have a OBDII scanner the better you can identify your specific problem...hoping it can help you..good day

I have pt cruiser 2.4 manual. Why am i only getting 25 mpg. 31.000 miles on clock

The government fuel economy specs for your year PT Cruiser are between 24 and 26 mpg highway, depending on what transmission you have (auto, 4spd standard, 5 spd standard), so you are getting what you should. Unfortunately, the PT Cruiser can't do any better than that. It does seem that a car that size would do better, but Chrysler needs to improve gas consumption on all it's vehicles, that is one reason they are in such trouble now.
