DSC and ABS Not avail lights come on after driving.

I have a 03 STR Jaguar. My DSC and ABS not available lights are comming on after a few minutes of driving. And will come on almost instantly if I turn off engine for a couple minutes and re start. Both lights come on at same time. I think something is loose. Drives absolutely normal but no tract controll or abs. Is this ussually a rear senser and easy fix?

Where would this switch be? I would like to take care of it. I dont mind doing some work, unless it is very specific and then I would let professional do it.

Do you know where this is?

There is a switch underneath that goes out due to the debris underneath. Either take it to the shop or deal with the lights comming on.

It is actually a pain in the **** to replace. I would suggest to take it to a automatic car wash and maybe the sprayers might clean it off. if not I would take it to a shop.Ask them and get a quote. quotes and advice from them is free. Hope that helps You.

Can I drive my car Safely with :ASC Trac not available / Trac not available

you can safely drive with this light on. it will be like driving a car without traction control. some also shut off the ABS system(anti-lock brakes) but again its like driving without this system like cars use to be before all this new options came out.

Dsc light stays on just wana no what to do

the dsc system is linked to the abs you need to get fault codes out of the relevant module using a code reader to sort this out, is the abs light on as well? that's a clue, if so the reluctor rings on the drive shafts are suspect or the front wheel speed sensors or link leads.

is the ABS light on also? if so and its 4 wheel drive ie, 2.5 or 3.0 ltr then the most likely cause is a reluctor ring on one of the rear drive shafts adrift/broken

Ihave a 2.5 V6 Jaguar X type 2003 base model. Does it have abs and traction control ? As none of this appears on the instrument panel.

ABS is Standard on the X-Type range.
Jaguar Traction 4 is standard on all 4 wheel drive vehicles. DSC was an optional extra!

Jaguar dsc fault

DSC is your dynamic stability control, you probably went over something really hard and caused a fault, this is a normal response. If the fault stays on disconnect the battery and leave for five mins then reconnect, if you still have the same robelem your DSC module is faulty, it is located on the rear axel it is a block with an arm connected to the axel mid way on the axel.
Has nothing to do with yor abs the juddering was probably you driving over something which triggered the fault.
hope this helps
