Question about 1998 Jaguar XJ8L
I have a 1998 xj8 that has just started to make a tinny rattling noise from what it sounds like the rear near side (uk)
it does not appear to be the exhaust or any loose tin wear....would a bush sound so tinny if so does anyone know where to start..i belive it had new shocks fitted about a year ago and it also looks like it has had new pads at the same time...any further suggestions would be great cheers
It could be the springs on the handbrake shoes. Jaguar sell a rubber sleve to fit over the spring to stop just this noise!!

Or try lying down with hand on the lower shock absorber bush and get some one to bounce the back of the car. you may feel the free play. this is a common problum D
