You will have to get it from a dealer. You will need your ID, and proof of ownership of the vehicle (title). You will not get a key anywhere else, and they probablly won't get you one for a week or so.

Hate to say it, **** your best bet would be a lock and key service. They are bonded and insured and you don't have to worry about someone having duplicates. You have to prove ownership.

Cannot open the luggage compartment of the maserati quattroporte battery is dead

Use the cars ignition key, insert into lock next to boot/trunk manual release. NB lean on boot/truck lid as you turn key otherwise you run risk of breaking the key. Boot will open.

We have a 1997 cadillac deville. installed a master window switch and left rear window motor. Technition reached inside vehicle and unlocked rear door lock by hand and set off alarm. we tried several times...

My wife had a car that to reset the problem we had at the time, the owners manual stated that in order to reset we had to turn on the key to the run position(do not start the car just turn key to run) next hit the brake pedal 3 times quickly and hold on the last push off the brake pedal, while holding down the pedal turn off the key. Release the pedal then turn the key back to the run position and this may fix your problem. Check your owners manual. Your car procedure may differ.

We changed the battery in the 97 lumina and now the MFG alarm system is in a mode where we cannot get the car to start

Disconnect negative battery cable. With key still turned on hook the cable back up. Try starting car. If that doesn't work turn key on for ten minutes. Than try cranking it. Turn it on and off three different times with the ten minute intervals. After that if car doesn't start than leave the key on for thirty minutes than try cranking it. This should work.

My clutch pedal lost pressure. How do I fix it?

either the master, the slave, or the line has failed. there could be a new replacement assembly of all three assembled and pre-bled out for you. the car is over ten years old, all three should be replaced anyway. go to a parts store and buy a clutch master, clutch slave, and take them to a repair shop. they will install them and make you a new line if yours has failed. check and see if there is a pre-bled assembly which will cut down a bit on the installation labor cost.

Car will not turn over with key.battery is good lights stay on when trying to start.could it be my starter?

is the security light flashing? If so try turning the key on for ten minutes than try to crank the engine. Try this three times if no start turn the key on for thirty minutes than try cranking the engine. It should turn over if not You may need a new ignition switch. Or key. I need more info after you try this.

Need new key, the tip got cut completely off!

Your vehicle comes with two kinds of keys: a master key and a valet key.
The master key fits all the locks on your car:
Trunk release handle
Rear seat trunk access

The valet key works only in the ignition and the door locks. You can keep the trunk, trunk release handle and rear seat trunk access locked when you leave your car and valet key at a parking facility.

You should have received a key number plate with your set of keys. You will need this key number if you ever have to get a lost key replaced. Keep the plate stored in a safe place.

When replacing keys, use only Honda-approved key blanks.

There are many hardware stores that have Honda key blanks and can make a key if you have a working one. If not, a Honda dealership can get you a key (expensive) for your vehicle if what is left of your key has the small serial number still on it. Additionally, they might be able to get one based on the VIN number of your car.

Hope this helps you.

97 cavalier key won't turn

My daughter was told the same thing when her key wouldn't turn and was getting stuck in her 97 chevy cavalier. The used-car dealer suggested going to a Chevy dealer and getting a master key remade, not a copy of the key. We did for $16 and the new master key did the trick! It's as smooth using the key as in a new car. Try that first before any of the worst-case scenarios...
