Temperature switch location 89 lincoln mark 7 lsc

Hello, my temerature guage on my 1989 lincoln mark 7 lsc doesn't move whatsoever, it stays at the cold side never moving and i wanted to replace the switch but i need to know where it is located, or do you think it might be the thermostad? and there is a switch in the trunk on the left side on top of the spare tire that i can flip to an on or off position, what does this do? and one last question, my radio doesn't work, if i turn the radio all the way up i only hear the front drivers side very low, i was wondering if this could be the radio, or the amp? or any fuses. thanks you so much, i cant find these answers anywhere, you are the best :)

The Switch in the trunk is to shut down you air bag suspension system. It prevents the car from trying to level itself out when you are jacking it off the ground. Anytime you are doing work under the car or trying to jack the car or lift the car off the ground you need to turn this switch off.

For the temp..check the sensors. your thermostat only controls the water/antifreeze flow. the switch in the trunk may be an engine or fuel tank shut off switch. the speakers' wires may have a short..its also possible that the wires that are connected to the radio may be loose.

Have had 1989 Lincoln Mark 7 LSC for 5 years she never failed to start. One day she wouldn't start thought mabey she was out of fuel put in 2 gallons. Still no go. Found fuel pump was not running. Shutoff...

Generally a relay is used instead of a fusses. Look under hood for a relay panel.. substitution is the easiest way to find failed relay.
I had similar symptom on my Towncar....found that adjacent relays were same part number. Pulled the horn relay....substituted it for the fuel relay...then replace with a new one.. Did not leave the defective one in place of horn relay. There may be other circuits on the same relay. Be careful !

Fuel tank needs to be cleaned. Does the Mark VII LSC have to have something removed prior to dropping the tank.

Yes. First drain tank as much as possible. Then support tank, Remove Tank straps , filler neck connector. Then unplug fuel pump/sending unit wireing, and fuel line(s). after dropping tank a foot or so.

I have a 1992 Lincoln Mark vii lsc. Fuel pump problem!

This sounds like the PCM has taken a turn for the worst. The pcm relay sends power to the fuel relay for 2 seconds to prime the fuel system just before start up.
Then the pcm ungrouds the signal for a prove out.

Motor shuts off during the ride 89 Lincoln Mark VII LSC

It is probably in the ignition controle module, this is a common problem with some modules. Once it gets hot it will cause the car to shut down. You can remove it and get it tested. It can be located in one of two locations on the bottom of distributor or on the driver side fender well.
