How to remove rear window in 1992 Jetta

I'm not sure the way the rear window in my 92 jetta comes out. The seal looks like it's in continuous piece. How do you separate it from the window, or does it come out with the window at the same time?

There is difference but you did'nt mentioned the rear window but which one sir the rear main windshield glass or the rear door left or right door glass . 1. the rear windshield glass comes with a fixing silicon compond or silicate material which hold the glass firmly fixed attached to the body untill it break up then in this you need to consult to your nearest authorised dealer or authorised service centre for changing or removal of this sort's of glass  2. the rear door glass weather it is left side or right side the auto mechanic can do the job for you it's simple you your self can do for youself but some precaution measure has to be taken or either the glass will get break up so better consult the authorised service station 1st so for more soultion do write to us & till then drive safe drive carefully...!

Is this a 92 Jetta like you describe or a 02 Jetta TDI? If it's a 92 Jetta, I can almost guarantee the ignition switch is bad. Common failure. They're cheap, but require special tools and experience to remove.

92 jetta lift

Get an engine heater and ask @ the auto shops what the do for DIESELS in the winter. As far as lifting you're unlikely to find anything. Make sure you have good snow tires and carry chains and a shovel. You should probably look for an AWD car or truck.

How do I know if it is the fuel pump or the relay on a 92 vw jetta 1.8 4cyl?

you can jump the fuel injection relay. This will make the fuel pump run continuously--test only! You can hear the fuel pump run when you try to start the car. You can hook up a multimeter to the fuel pump plug to test for 12V. no volts at plug? then change relay or fuse.

Fuel pump is makeing noises and goes on an off

I think that vehicle has 2 fuel pumps. The secondary pump is located under the spare tire this was on a 92 GLi 16V, I'm not sure what engine you have but worth a look.

I need to take off the water pump on a automatic 1992 jetta...

If it's a 2.0L or 1.8l, you'll have to take off the timing belt. I'd suggest looking for a procedure on removing the timing belt and the water pump is under the distributor gear usually. Do NOT loose your marks, or else you can ruin the engine.
