Re: fuel recommended for Lexus ES 350
92 or 93 octane. In my area of the country we have regular, super and premium thus the 92 or 93 octane fuel is called premium. I would assume that this grade would be what you are calling super premium. Basically it is going to take the best quality gas that they sell at the station. Hi there: First I suggest checked all pressure levels in the tires and then re-initialized the TPWS system. The buttom to do this on a 2007 ES350 is slightly out of site under the driver's side of the dash just past the Air Bag System panel. Also, I suggest read instructions in the Owner's Manual. Aboiut TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor) location check the spare.
I recommend that the TPMS be initialized every time tire pressure is changed.

There is no asstton* on the 2008 ES350 to switch off the traction control (( pain in the *** when it snows+slippery )).
From forums online, and I\'ve personally tested/used this...
Keep the hand brake on (( its near the left leg )) when u switch on the car... And in the next few seconds, hit and release the brake twice, then keeping your leg on the brake pedal, release the hand brake, and put it on again (( twice, your right leg on the brake all this while )), and then when the hand brake is on, hit and release the brake twice...
You will need to do this only immediately after the car starts, and it needs to be done in under 30 seconds (( from forums, never needed more than 10 seconds to do the whole thing ))..
They do not recommend it cause apparently, the torque generated can cause the wheels to spin so much that it causes tires to burn out soon... Good luck!
I would go with what factory recommends and IF it starts to "ping" (rattle sound when accelerating) then step up a grade. Alot of what you hear/read on internet is in direct relationship to fuel available in different areas. Best of both worlds - use the middle grade (it also has extra cleaners in it)
You should always use premium fuel on the high conmpression V8 engine. Cheaper fuel can cause a PING, and possible engine damage. 87 octane is definitely not recommended at any time, but sometimes you can get by with 89 for a small period of time.
Gas mileage and power will both be down with lower octane fuel, so do not use it all the time.
No, it will do no harm at all. As with the majority of modern engines, the car's engine management system automatically adjusts engine settings (the ignition timing curve via the anti-knock sensors) to suit the lower octane ("regular") fuel. The only penalty is that the engine will not have quite as much power as it could otherwise have.
The rules are simple: on vehicles which state only use "super" that's all you use and such cars are now unusual. On vehicles which advise that "super" is recommended, you make the choice; no damage will occur but the engine will not reach peak performance on anything but "super"; this may also mean that fuel economy is not as good but you then need to weigh up the possible loss of economy against the higher cost of "super". On vehicles which recommend you use "regular" using "super" does no harm but offers no benefits at all.
"Super" is not a measure of how much energy the petrol has, it's just an indicator of the octane level. Higher octane fuel is more resistant to premature detonation ("knocking") and allows the engine timing to be set in a way which is more favourable to economy and high speed running. If an engine's management system lacks the ability to exploit the higher knock resistance, then there's absolutely no way for it to get any benefit and it's just a waste of money.
In practice, and especially in the USA where speed limits are often lower than elsewhere in the world, it's unlikely that you'll notice the difference under most conditions when using regular in your Lexus.

Well, of course premium is HIGHLY recommended, but it is not necessary.
You can use regular grade in your engine and it will not harm it at all. Modern engine management systems have knock sensors that detect lower grade fuel and make the necessary adjustments to your timing and fuel delivery systems. All you will notice is slightly slower acceleration and a slight drop in engine horsepower.
