I'm assuming it is a manual, make sure you have the lever off the top of the tranny (I think it is a 14mm nut that holds it on). It attaches to the slave cylinder. If the lever isn't off the shaft cant rotated off the throwout bearing. If it is an auto, I can help there too.

How to take out a transmission

Are you sure you got all the bolts out? (Transmission to engine block bolts)
Everything is removed from tranny until only the tranny to engine bolts are left. That is the last thing to remove, then the tranny and torque converter should slide back and away from the engine block. There are metal dowels between the tranny case and engine block-where the two mate up-these dowels can rust and stick, but a little prying will move the tranny back away from the engine. Make sure everything is removed from tranny, then check that all bolts are removed. It is easy to miss a bolt.

Where is tranny filter on 04 hyundai elantra? can a garage mech. do it? whats the best way to drain the tranny oil?

The filter would be inside the pan. The best fluid change is at an oil change place that uses t-tech style machine. This style will change the fluid in the torque converter, cooler and lines. It takes a container of new fluid and runs that in while old fluid runs out...done until clean fluid is coming out.

04 hyundai elantra positive battery cable needs to be replaced any instructions or tips?

Yes, just in case you have a theft deterrent system, do not leave the battery cable disconnected longer than 30 minutes as that will cause your radio to loose its smarts and not be able to turn on.

How do i remove front strut from 2003 ford tauras

Disconnect tie rod, end link and remove brake caliper. Disconnect ABS wiring. Remove lower control arm(ball joint) from spindle. Remove axle flange nut. Remove strut tower mounting nuts in engine compartment. Allow strut to slide down...Carefully remove axle from spindle, do not hammer the end. Use a center punch and hammer to remove it. Do not separate the axle components. There you go.

How to remove and replace front left axle on a 2000 hyundai elantra

1 remove the tire
2 remove the nut off the axle in the center of the hub
3 remove the two nut and bolts that hold the strut to the spindle and pull spindle out towards you. these bolts may be pressed in and you might have to beat them out with a hammer, carefull not to hit the threads, reuse them
4 when you pull the spindle push the axle inwards until you can force it out. you might have to tap the axle with a hammer to get it to release from the spindle.
5 look at the distance between the axle and tranny 1/2 to 1 inch
6 get a pry bar and put it between the axle and tranny
pry the axle out, it has a c clip to hold it in, it may take a lot of pressure.
7 replace the axle with new one, remember the distance and the c clip. you have to get it back in to that distance and you can not hit the end of the shaft with a steel hammer, use a block of wood on the shaft and a hammer
8 assemble the rest in reverse order
9 when putting the strut to the spindle put the bottom bolt in first.

How to change wheel bearings on a 96 cavalier

The wheel bearings on your car is contained in a sealed wheel hub. You have to change the whole hub to change the bearing. Remove the wheel, the brake caliper, the rotor. There will be three bolts holding the hub on from the back. You will need to remove these bolts and slide the hub off of the spindle. then grease the spindle slide on your new hub and bolt everything back together.

Axle sharft assemply- removal and installation

Pretty easy if your mechanically inclined. Raise the vechicle and put it on jack stands. Remove the tire unbolt the outer tie rod hit around it a few times with a hammer since its been in for awhile and that will release it unbolt lower ball joint hit around it with your hammer you'll need a pry bar pry down on the lower control arm so the ball joint will pop out of the knuckle. Remove the cotter pin from the center bolt then remove the center bolt which may be between a 21mm to a 30mm before you completely remove the bolt tap on it a few time to loosen the axle from the bearing. Pull the spindle toward you and the axle should come out. With your pry bar pry the inner shaft out from the transmission. take the new one put it back into the tranny tap on it lightly with the bolt back on because you dont want to ruin the threads and once it flushes just put it back through the spindle put the ball joint back in put the tie rod back on tighten everything dont forget to put cotter pins back in. Sounds like fun I have to do one this weekend Good luck
