Question about 1995 Buick LeSabre
When 1st cranked in morning, it will not move into forward or reverse. Then when it does, and i have to stop again, it's like it slips into neutral and won't move. i have to put it into low to get it to move. I have serviced transmission with new screen and fluid. Transmission works fine, it's just when you have to stop, this starts all over again.
Sounds like the torque converter has some broken fins. switching to a full synthetic tranny fluid would build tranny pressure faster. it would be costly, but an improvement if the car is not worth taking out the tranny to replace the converter. was the old fluid red or black? if red then this is the converter, if black then the tranny will need a rebuild or replacing.
