Blown 10 amp fuse on DRL and dash goes dead 2001 Trans Am

I am having a problem with my dash going dead and blowing the 10 amp fuse after startup. When this happens the daytime running lights also go out, the car runs fine but will not restart until you replace the fuse again. The headlights come on as well as the parking lights and turn signals work etc after the fuse blows. Had this problem previously and thought it was because of water in the DRL sockets had fried them. Replaced both sockets and did not have the problem again for a year to a year and a half. Now the same problem with the new sockets.
Thanks in advance

THE TURNS FUSE BLEW OUT. 2nd time, 3rd,,,?????
that means the circuit is overloaded or shorted.! (prevents fire)
but did it blow a 2nd time, why not say so???

all 4 lamps dead. or stuck on, or flash odd. or what? dim?
does the cluster lamp flash, , in blink or emerg. mode?
wont work , means what, (dead or stuck on or dim)?????

are any other things on car dead, of odd acting?
we see all this , 1st 5 min in a shop, zero here.
ive answered Forenza blinks here, many times.
ever search?

ill now answer by guessing USA non stationwagon and no DRL.
dash box fuse 4 kills blinkers

EF1 (engine fuse) 1 good?
dash fuse 14 and EF1 can kills emerg. flasher

so of Emergancy flash lamps blows fuse 14,(smaller of 2)
then the blinkers are in fact shorted.
does it?
if yes, then find out which side blows the fuse 3.
turns left blow or turns right blows.
so if say turns right blows, F4 fuse.
if true ?remove all bulbs front rear right bulbs.
does the fuse hold now,(means not blown)
then buy new lamps there. problem solved
bulbs can in fact short.
not just blow open.
Tell the full story and all this gets easy.
For sure emergency flash,

Which fuse is for the daytime running lights for a 2005 Chevy Siverado?

The DRL 10-amp fuse in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the DRL relay switch contacts and relay coil. When the BCM energizes the DRL relay , the DRL receive voltage on the DRL supply voltage circuit.

The drl indicator on dash board is on and both the drl and high beans are not working. is this blown bulbs or blown fuses

Most likely switch, but check fuses first. If they blow again, you have bad short in most likely wires to headlight. Could also be Diming switch relay. Or connections from and to it.

I have no power to 4x4 switch ,no 4x4 ,2002 chev envoy .tried new switch and replced actuator on front diff.

In the rear fuse block fuse number 47 10 amp may be unpowered or blown. This fuse powers the switches on the dash and goes on to the acutors that chang the trans fer case selections. It's possible that the wiring has gotton into the exhaust or snagged in an off road situation. You need to inspect all the wiring and connectors going to the transfer case and the transmission. Unplugging the connectors and inspecting them for dirt and damage and reconnecting them can cure the problem. If the fuse is blown it may blow right away if the wire or bad apart hasn't been found. The rear fuse block is under the left rear seat. The cover for it numbers the fuses. I check all fuses even if I know what fuse I'm looking for and I find relatred circuits off and the idem I'm fixing starts working.

hello. there should be a fuse slot labeled DRL.
It should be #24 and it will require a 10Amp fuse.
put a 10 amp fuse in that slot and you will have your daytime running lights.

Air conditioning/head lights

it is your ignition switch. Pontiac runs too much current through the switch for it to last very long. look on grandprix specific auto forums for an in depth look at this problem.
