If you cant find any plastic that pops out and has screws underneath carpet inside center console if any, try pulling the switch itself and or assembly out. hit contacts with an eraser. and your favorite stuff. get a good manual.

Where is the fuel inertia switch located on a volvo 850

Check the wires that go to the fuel pump, one is pink the other black, when the key goes to position II you should have 12 volts for about 2 seconds, if you are getting that voltage to run/prime the pump then you have a bad pump.

If the car hasn't been rolled, that switch prob. isn't your problem. The sensor is located attached to the body shell, under the center console between seats I think on a 95 ....

Were is the. Fuel pump reset. Switch. On. A 1993 volvo 940

I do not believe there is a reset switch. Your problem is likely a fuel pump relay. This is a white relay behind the ashtray in the center console. Remove it and replace it.

OR...If you are handy open the case and pull it out of the case noting the way it came out.
You should resolder the circuit board that holds two relays using silver solder.
You should also clean out the relay contacts. This can
be done by folding as sliver of fine abrasive paper so that both sides can
work the contacts. Hold the abrasive sliver with tweezers and work it in
between the contacts. If the plating on the contacts is badly burnt, pitted or corroded, you should just replace the replay , as it will fail again.
New relay is around $50.
Please vote if this helped! Thanks, Mike

Windows will not open or close, any suggestions as to what might be the problem?

First check the power window relay in the engine compartment fuse box near your battery. It is slot 37. Try wiggling it and then trying your windows. If that doesn't work, remove and insert the relay and try your window. If it still does not work replace the relay. Normally it makes a clicking sound when you use power windows. Some cars have circuit breakers there instead of relays so just swtich it back on.

If that doesn't work you will need to clean or replace the switches. Pry on the switch bank with a screwdriver on the top and bottom edges. This should lift up all the switches and the housing underneath. There are 3 wiring harness connectors. Label which goes with the circuit board connectors. Now clean the switches using contact cleaner and reinstall. If it doesn't work then replace the switch bank at the dealer. It is a common replacement item for the 1995 Volvo 850.

Where is switch located to open the fuel door?

Hi Midwin4U,

I had the same question when I got my 94' 850 Turbo wagon. I kept wondering where the fuel door release was. To my surprise there was not one, you simply must have the entire "CAR" (not just the drivers door) unlocked. Use the key FOB. After that, go to the fuel door outside the vehicle and push in on it to pop it open. Hopefully you have not run out of gas yet.
