Question about 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 2WD

Rear brake lights don't work

Rear brake lights will not work on 2005 duramax. Checked all fuses, checked and changed bulbs, checked power through fuses, brake light on back of cab works. All trailer lights works. Left and right turn signals and tail lights function properly.

slide under the back of your truck and check to see if the connection where the trailer light connection goes into the wiring harness of the truck...also check around that area to see if any wires have been damaged... worth a look... because if you're getting lights on your trailer, there's got to be power back to that particular connector at the back of the truck.

How do i fix the brake lights on my mercury sable. all the other lights work fine

Does your car have the `lamp out'indicator system? It's more complicated.
My manual shows fuse #28 , a 15 amp fuse powers the brake bulbs. Is this the one you changed?
A bulb can be out for a long time and you don't notice it,then the other burns out and you think they both went out at the same time, but they might not have, see?
So check the bulbs and make sure you got that brake switch installed correctly. don-ohio (:^)

2004 ford mustang mach 1 brake lights dont work dont have manual to change the fuse

I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the high-mount brake light. Never was on older cars, that brake light is just spliced into the rear brake lights. Have you checked the bulb?

2005 chev trailblazer v6 4.2 rear side brake light dont work the top rear brake light works fuse 12 front works rear seat below fuse 16 and fuse 34 good bulbs good where do i check next

CHECK FOR POWER AND GROUND AT THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE AFFECTED BRAKE LIGHT. IF THAT CHECK OUT GOOD THEN CHECK THE BULB CONNECTION FOR BURNED CONNECTORS, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. LOOPING A TEST LIGHT FROM THE POWER TO THE GROUND CONNECTION AND HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN IT SHOULD LIGHT. IF IT DON'T THE CIRCUIT BOARD IS BAD.

have you checked the earthing continuity-if it's this other bulbs may also partly light when brakes used
otherwise-
Check continuity of live from center to lh & rh lights and/or is there a live at those lights

2005 chevy 2500 brake lights wont work

Just to be sure you checked fuses underhood? There is a junction block at rear of truck on frame it can cause lights to not work check it to make sure all conections are tight.also check the trailer hook up for brake light power as this is on a seperate cicuit but is supplied by brake switch. If you have power there it will eliminate switch.your fuse box has a brake fuse and trailer brake fuse
