Just replaced the battery and starter, checked all the fuses, checked for power to the starter..anybody have any suggestions?

You didn't mention the fuse rating of the one you replaced so this method may not help if it was higher than ~5 amps.At this point, I would wire a 12 volt bulb, preferably, one with 40-50 watts rating (headlamp will do fine) in place of the fuse that is blowing and start pulling likely connectors until the light goes out.
If you don't get results this way, you might try disturbing one bundle of wire after another since this could be happening because of insulation that has been pinched or worn through to reach ground.
Using a bulb instead of bridging the fuse with a piece of coathanger will prevent melting the wire and possibly compounding the problem.

needs a battery but be careful cause sometimes a bad alternater will cause the battery to go bad

could be bad ignition, leak in the fuel line, master coil that powers sparkplugs, sparkplugs, sparkplug wiring, electrical fault there could be a number of things but this is were i would start....a mechanic will help more! i hope this helps

fuse 8 40a supplies power to starter relay and ignition switch, to close the starter solenoid and engage the starter which draws directly from the battery. check to see that the starter relay is closing, if not ensure that the park neutral switch is not faulty (open circuit), it provides path to close relay (ground side) on the 85 - 86 terminals. if the starter relay does not close the starter will not run. if you have a spare relay swap out the relay for a quick fix attempt. hope this helps
