Question about Lexus RX 300
This t- stat is located at the lower hose to the block .please do this job when the coolant is cold. the t-stat should come with a gasket around it. drain the coolant from the radiator by turning petcock counterclockwise after drained go to work remove the lower hose at the t-stat housing, take out the 2 bolts that hold the housing pull out t-stat. reverse order before adding coolant open bleeder by the top hose .pure coolant in slowly.50/50 mix. till full tighten bleeder back up put cap on run vehicle at 2000rpms for about 5 minutes until you have heat coming out of the heater. oh turn the heater fan on high and on heat. after you have heat turn off vehicle let sit for 15 minutes remove radiator cap slowly then top off with coolant.your done.

If it is running perfectly I wouldn't think that you would need to replace the timing belt. You shouldn't need to replace that until 100,000-120,000 miles. I would definitely hold off until now unless you have start having some timing problems. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

Remove 3 - 4 screws on fender cover close to side marker light. Pull fender cover out a bit for you to use your other hand to reach side marker light. By twisting on one direction and here you go the light out. Replace new bulb and replace everything on reverse order.
