This t- stat is located at the lower hose to the block .please do this job when the coolant is cold. the t-stat should come with a gasket around it. drain the coolant from the radiator by turning petcock counterclockwise after drained go to work remove the lower hose at the t-stat housing, take out the 2 bolts that hold the housing pull out t-stat. reverse order before adding coolant open bleeder by the top hose .pure coolant in slowly.50/50 mix. till full tighten bleeder back up put cap on run vehicle at 2000rpms for about 5 minutes until you have heat coming out of the heater. oh turn the heater fan on high and on heat. after you have heat turn off vehicle let sit for 15 minutes remove radiator cap slowly then top off with coolant.your done.

SOURCE: ? to Replace Timing belt on 2000 Lexus Rx300 with 57,000 miles.

If it is running perfectly I wouldn't think that you would need to replace the timing belt. You shouldn't need to replace that until 100,000-120,000 miles. I would definitely hold off until now unless you have start having some timing problems. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

Heater dont blow hot air can it be my thermosat

Yes it could be the thermostst. If you have no way to check the actual temperature of the engine and the thermostst hasn't been changed recently then I would go ahead and replace it. If that doesn't help you could have a plugged or restricted heater core or a blend door problem among other things. Good luck.

Replace thermostst

Its located in the front of the engine near the fan pulley. 2 bolts holding down a dome shaped piece of metal. Let engine cool before opening any cooling system parts. After replacing thermostat, check coolant level and add as needed. Good luck!

My temperature gauge on my 2005 gmc Envoy is at the middle (210). Should i be concerned?

210 is getting too hot, make sure you have enough fluid in radiator, and if that dont work change the thermostst to maybe a 180 degree thermostst

Where is the thermostst on 1995 lexus es300

Its located on the RH side of the engine and above the transmission. The lower radiator hose(RH side) runs to an inlet pipe, at the end of the pipe there is the thermostat housing. The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing. Hopefully this helps!!
