Check you start relay in the under hood power distribution box, refer to owners manual for specific location. When you find it exactly, swap it with the a/c relay and see if your start problem goes away, if so replace relay, they cost about 8 dollars. Let me know..

This is a classic example of a failing security system. Random no starts are common and will only get worse. (trust me, its allways at the WRONG time) Read this link top to bottom to understand what is going on. There is a solution to your problem on this site. And trust me its cheaper than the dealer. Ive been where you are. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

PS. Look on your dash for a light that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a padlock thru it, when it doesnt start. This is a dead give away that this is your problem

THE SWITCH IN THE STEERING WHEEL IS PROBABLY GOING BAD OR HAS A LOOSE CONNECTION THAT IS GROUNDING OUT AND COMPLETETING THE CIRCUIT AT RANDOM. I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW OR WHY SHUTTING IT OFF WOULD TEPORARILY FIX THE PROBLEM BUT WITH ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE BELIEVE ME. ALSO TAKE A LOOK AT THE WIRING AND THE HORN ITSELF TO SEE IF EVERYTHING LOOKS OK THERE.

Wont cold start 1997 intrpid 3.5l

A faulty Intake air temperature sensor can cause that. If it's faulty and supplying computer with a signal that says it's freezing cold, when its not, then it would cause it to dump excessive fuel, when it isn't necessary. Might be smart & cheaper, to run it in and have it scanned for codes, at an auto parts place, or trusted mechanic. With all these sensors that can cause similar symptoms, why gamble, have it scanned & know for sure.
