On this model, the parking break release lever is located on the dash panel more or less behjind the turn signal lever. it took me a while to locate it because I was looking in the traditional locations.

Emergency brake stuck to floor will not release

Hi Barbara:
I'm guessing that when you pull the release handle it moves, but nothing happens.
Odds are that whay has happened is that the cable has come out of the release lever, Or, the cable sheath has slipped out of its retaining slot.
Either way, you have two things to do:
1) Get mobile so you can go home. To do this, put it in park or low gear with the motor off. You will need to access under the dash where the release mechanism is located. Use a pair of pliers (or whatever else will work) to pull or pry the release lever away from the firewall (towards the seat. The parking brake will release.
2) Go home (or wherever, just don't use the parking brake.
3) Repair the brake:
- Release the Cable Sheath from the retaining slot.
- connect the cable to the release lever
- Re-install the cable sheath into the slot.

Help my friends handbrake on her automatic vauxhall Mokka is stuck on how can it be released?

Parking brake Always apply parking brake firmly without operating the release button, and apply as firmly as possible on a downhill or uphill slope. To release the parking brake, pull the lever up slightly, press the release button and fully lower the lever. To reduce the operating forces of the parking brake, depress the foot brake at the same time. Control indicator R 3 85.

The transmision is locked in park. Level ground. Just can"t get it out of park.

your brake pedal has a switch located at the top of the brake pedal arm that may need to be replaced. Is there a slot by the shifter that you can put the key into? Most cars have a slot that you can release the shifter with. If not see if your brake lights work. If not you may need to replace the brake light switch.

1992 toyota camry v6 auto. can't move shifter. car starts and ste

Car must be on and brake pedal depressed to shift. If you have no brake lights then the car doesn't know the pedal is depressed and will not shift out of park. This car has an interlock overide on the shifter console, push it and it will come out of Park. You will need a brake light switch tho.

Don"t know the timing

check ignition timing with transmission in neutral with parking brake applied .
base timing is 10 degrees @ 800 rpm , with jumper wire installed between data link connector terminals TE1 and E1 .
advance timing is 8 degrees @ 800 rpm , with jumper wire removed from data link connector .
