Rhere is a small wire and a large wire at the starter. you can use a jummper wire and jump from one wire to the other if you have voltage at the big wire it should crank over if the startwer is good. if not you have other issues with the starting system.

What would cause a load noise after replacing starter?

Some starters must be aligned for the proper engagement; with chevys it is with shims. Check your shop manual for your car model and vin to find the procedure for setting the proper clearance.

My 2002 Taurus won't start, all electric goes out when I turn the key. I took starter out and had it tested good. put it back in and it cranked. Next morning same problem. Battery is good and

You may have a bad starter solenoid. Could maybe be a bad relay also. Check your ground and power wires from your battery to make sure there are no breaks where it could be grounding out. Battery and starter may be good but bad wires won't let it get power to starter.

Car will not start

I don't know how you tested the battery and starter, but let's go over it again. If the motor makes no noise when you turn the key, turn on the headlights. If they're bright, chances are the battery is good. Now, turn on the key and move shifter to N., Try to crank again. Next, back to P, and get somebody who trusts you to find the starter motor and gently bang on it with a hammer while you turn the key to start. Other things it could be is the ignition switch, the neutral safety switch, or starter relay, which all need testing point to point with a test light. Good luck!

Have no fire and the shut off relay is clicking. The battery is fine changed relay and the same clicking noise happens when i turn the key on

Good battery, good relay. Take out the starter and have it tested. Although the same thing happened to me and the starter tested fine....twice ( after being told it was fine, I cleaned it up and put it back, still no good ) I replaced it anyway and all is good. The auto store felt so bad they gave me a lifetime starter for the price of a rebuilt. The tester doesn't put enough load on the starter to truly test it. Hope that helps.

1991 jeep cherokee laredo won't start

you can test your signal wire to the starter by having someone turn the key to start while you put a test light on the signal wire at the stater. If there is no signal on the light then there is a problem with the sending wire from the ignition.
