Question about 1995 Ford Bronco
1994 ford bronco full size 302 5.0 engine. This occured immediatley after filling up gas tank. I have added fuel injector cleaner and dry gas to the tank and i added higher octane gas at next fill up. The shudder decreased but is still present at around 35 and then at 40 mph. I can push harder on gas pedal and speed through it, however I am concerned there is something wrong that if not addressed will lead to more severe and expensive repair.
Sounds like the torque converter. can be tricky, new one expensive, I had the same problem, talked to a buddy who is ford master mechanic, he told me to DRAIN, the TC, then put new fluid in. He said DRAIN, and NOT flush. because if you flush, and the magnet inside is missing or screwed up, it will push all of the little pieces of metal and **** into transmission. I had the dealership do this, and it cost around 150-200. It worked, and I was lucky, cause they told me it hadad no magnet, but it worked, not shuddered since.
