Question about 2001 Kia Rio

1 Answer

Car gives problems with starting.

Car gives problems every time I start it. Sometimes it won't start at all for a while. I had the battery and alternator tested and they are fine. I was told that maybe it is the starter. I just purchased the car yesterday from a co-worker. He says that he has taken the starter off and had it tested as well, and it is still doing it. What could the problem be?

You can have a loose power or ground cable .But sometimes the starter can work fine when tested but after a couple of loads its bad.Remember when they test it its free wheeling and has no load so it dont work as hard.

2007 impala won't start sometimes

The most likely problem is a failed safety switch in the transmission. It will only allow the engine to turn over when in "neutral", or "Park". Next time it happens try moving the transmission selector through the full range of travel a couple of times. If this cures the problem, you may need new switch.

I have a problem with a 2008 Dodge Charger, my battery went bad and I had to jump it off to take it and get a new battery put in but now my new battery won't start my car not even when the new battery...

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

Car won't start sometimes

Very likely a bad battery. Replace the battery and see if the problem goes away.

1995 Oldsmobile Aurora will start sometimes and other times it won't, I replaced the starter and still the same.

If the engine cranks but won't start, the battery and starter are out of the picture.
When it won't start, someone will need to check fuel pressure and for spark at the plugs to proceed.

2002 sebring won't start.start/fuel fuse blew and was replaced.Car started normaly for two days then would not start. Fuse was not blown this time.

Car no start problem is sometimes very difficult to confirm. You try all the possible things, but still you get no fault and problem is still the same.--------
In that case, you need to check few things individually.
Check the spark, the battery, the crank, the fuel and other most possible parts. Click this link below for more details:-- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/car-troubleshooting-tips.html

I am hoping someone on here can help me with my problem...My check engine light came on my 2003 Chrysler 300 M special edition and also wouldn't start at times for up to 30-45 minutes at a time, and...

Have you had the battery changed since you had the car. Have that checked for a full charge and no dead cells. Always have the air-conditioning completely off when starting the car. The starter takes a lot of amps to turn over and having the AC on doesn't help.

and another reason is the code didn't clear out completely. this tool can help you test the code.
