Question about 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
I have a 2002 Monte Carlo. The problem first started when my locks would randomly unlock then lock while driving down the road. A few months later the radio started locking up when i would start it. Gradually the lights on my dash stopped working, and my reverse lights would turn on and off while i was driving down the road. Now when i shut the car off i have to unhook the battery then hook it back up in order for it to start. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times for it to start. When it starts everything is reset. The radio works, the locks dont go crazy, and there is no beeping at all. PLEASE HELP i am stressing out about this problem!!
Sounds like you have a bad ground. There should be a motor ground on the back of the motor anas well as the battery ground. The battery going dead could be caused by this or a bad regulator in the altenator unplug the altenator to check this for the starting problem
