My 1998 beetle won't start. I have replaced cam sensor and it still won't start. Any suggestions?

gas answers, not diesel. and USA only. cant do non USA>
so did you check spark at every cylinder never just 1.
the 1998 cars in USA all have OBD2 puters, ECU.
all scanners scan 1998 here. all.
and all will tell you cranking if any sensor is wrong, IT WILL
crank for 5 seconds, all ECU report CMP or CKP failure.
all.

why not just look,. a scan tool is $9 off fleabay. or?
car dont move, so.... id bet town charge is like 10x a tools.
huh?

  1. battery charged?
  2. Compression good on all cyl.
  3. spark good all cylinders.
  4. fueling now>? injection too much , too light>
this order works, all others are dog chasing tail/
sure scan it is first. its what 5min work?
the fuel can not burn if there is no spark
the both fuel and spark are useless to no compression (physics)

2005 volkswagon beetle won't start

There are 3 simple ways to troubleshoot this: Gas, Spark, or Air. The car is not getting enough of one of these. If it turns over you have battery power.

Gas - Is there enough?
Spark - Remove each plug and lay it close to the motor and have someone turn it over while you verify the spark for each cylinder.
Air - Verify the air filter is not clogged

2006 beetle no start no spark or injector pulse. Replaced crank sensor , no luck. Fuel pump runs.

No spark no injector pulse your saying you check pulse. With the key in the igition is there a key sign flashing and does the key have a battery for alarm. For the fuel pump to operate it need a crank signal so you got the crank correct but no spark so the crank works. Can you check the ignition for pulse you know how it is shape its curved on one side staight on the other side well the curve side and at that end is the ground after that on is the control from ECM. If you can check pulse there then we can go to the ECM . What I am trying to get at is this your alarm is the only thing beside the ECM that can cause this.

2002 Beetle - starts but won't keep running.

it could be a bad fuel pump, crank position sensor, broken/misaligned timing belt, etc. basically you need spark, fuel, and air to make the engine run. also the timing belt needs to be not broken and aligned properly.
