Question about 1999 Cadillac Catera
1999 Cadillac Catera 145K miles engine shuts down after appox 30min driving at 65-75 mph during a deceleration for exit or turn.
Why does the engine shut down?
Restart is possible after 10 or 15 min, during this time the engine will crank without any attempt to start.
After restart, in Drive, the trans slips, turn off engine, restart, recyle the gear selector all is fine, for 30 or so minutes.
Any root causes?
Crankshaft position sensor is the most likely issue.

Well 145K is alot of miles, catera's are not that reliable especially after 100K. It sounds like you could have multiple issues but take it to a mechanic asap before it becomes unfixable.
