Question about 1989 Honda CRX

1 Answer

Turn signals won't work and ignition busser won't stop

I already tried replacing the flasher and the turn signals won't work they stopped working the same time the ignition buss started going off all the time. The car does have a viper alarm system on it, but it is in valet mode. My car is a 1988 CRX with a swap out moter to a 1998 integra 1.8. but until now it ran fine and everything worked.
Thank you, any suggestions would be appreciated.

See if the 4 way (hazard) lights work. if they do then you may have bad turn signal switch or something in that switch, power or ground, is not getting where it needs to go. most manufacturers call that part a multifunction switch because it controls turn signals, headlights, usually some other stuff too. you should make sure you don't have a blown fuse in your turn signal circuit too. not sure i know what the ignition buss is. hope this helps

The turning signals on a 2000 Dodge Durango stopped working I already changed the sensors, the 15a and the flasher unit/relay,and the multifunction. The emergency lights work. What else should i do?

If the flasher unit as well as the multi function switch have been replaced with KNOWN good parts and the fuse is good, chances are a power or ground problem in the circuit. The signals may have an additional ignition power source from the battery junction box under the hood. Check all the fuses there as well. IF all fuses ok, electrical diagnostics will need to be performed to isolate the bad circuit

Can a turn signel work for about 15 seconds and then stop? or could it be the relay?

the flasher unit is probably worn out.there is a bi-metalic metal strip that gets tired and won`t expand and contract making the clicking noise you hear when the signals are in stops expanding and contracting causing the flashers to stop working.change the flasher unit but make sure you changing the one for the signal flasher and not the hazards flasher as they look the know which one turn on the hazards and look for the other flasher that is not making a noise as this will be the one for the signals.

I have a 2002 honda accord when I push on the brake padel my turn signals or my 4 way flashers won't work. When I put on my lights my turn signals or my 4 way flashers won't work. Could you please...

First check the fuse in the fuse box for signal light, replace the fuse with similar value if it is busted. If the fuse is still intact the problem would be the flasher relay( small cylindrical aluminum ) that is already malfunctioning.

Hope that helps you out!

1996 Jeep Cherokee Turn Signals Not Working

Replace you turn signal flasher relay, it should be right by your fuse box or near the brake pedal.(it looks like a solenoid, a cylindrical shape, with 3 prongs on the end) it is attached to a wiring harness that you just have to unplug it from. i couldnt find mine at any auto parts store, had to go to jeep, costs 44 bucks. that should do it

Blinkers stopped working

Your F--150 has 2 flashers, emergency and turn signal. Both are mounted on the fuse block under the dash. The turn signal flasher is mounted on the front of the fuse panel, the emergency flasher is mounted on the rear of the fuse panel. so replace the turn signal flasher should solve the problem. Let me know how it goes.
