Check the battery connections. Also check the connection of the cable at the underhood fuse box where there is a "stud" with a cable that looks like a small version of a battery cable secured by a nut. Hope this is helpful.

1: check levels by the book, not like engine. RTM
2: check fuses.
3: scan it, or get it scanned. for transmission errors.
if car wont move and RPM goes high as foot presses guess
that is trans slip.
of RPM (engine) does not rise or only tiny,
that is lost engine power, total loss. but idle. (can happen)

Why has my grande Vitara lost its power ?

no engine stated, is it really a 2001.>? GV?
over 50 reasons want us to guess, we ill if needed, and is a waste.
lost engine power.
only on curbs. really>?
not hills , do tell on the road performance.
ive driven vast cars , trucks and motor cycles up crubs
and everyone needed the clutch slipped. at 0mph.
low power has vast cause but in pure physics
short list it physics,
longer is tests (1 to 10 tests)
then 50 causes !
physics, 101 Petrol gasoline (good gas tops my list)
1: engine bad, low compression, on any cylinder,
1b: cat converter melted or EGR stuck wide open,
2: weak or bad spark or timing wrong on any cylinders; scan it yet?
3 bad fueling, (too lean, or to rich and misfiring)

1,2,3. scan it yet?
I'll not attempt to do the list of tests.
nor the 50 causes... ever.

why not get the car serviced,?
most cars this old , need a tuneup. do one this decade? or ever?

engine powerloss is complex on all engines. (gas or Diesel?)
but comes down to just 3, in the macro. (i guess at GAS)

Total loss of electric power to the EFI. system.
this will be obvious. (lamps die, etc) on USA cars a stalled engine
the CEL lamp in the cluster glows , if not , you lost POWER. (electric ) and the other lights are dead too. obvious.
1: bad engine (lost compression 1 or all cyl)
2: bad spark, ever to a tuneup or ever skip the vital 60kmile? tune?
3: bad fueling
easy as 1 ,2,3, huh and in the correct order, (ASE day 1)

there is a simple test for each of the 3, using simple inexpensve tool, if up for that , say so. or if not, go to any ASE mechanic,
he has the skills and the tools.

if motivated, (few are) the facts are all here.
alldata dot com, its all there. and the tests.
so is the VW FSM.
these documents dont make you a mech, the only show the mech
what is UNIQUE this car, LOTS. and some very bad pit falls.

I want to see how much front spring sag on a 1994 Chevy C-1500 Std. Cab. 4.3 engine I can't find factory sepcs.

The short wheelbase C1500 is 194.1 inches long, 76.4 inches wide (plus one-half inch for Sportsides/Widesides) and 70.4 inches tall. The long wheelbase adds 18.8 inches of length for a total of 212.9. The K1500 measures the same but rides a little higher at 73.8 inches, or 74.3 inches for the heavy-duty diesel. The C2500 has a height of 73 inches, while the K2500's height is 74.3 inches and the K3500 is 76 inches tall. Length and width figures for the 2500 and 3500 regular cabs are similar to the 1500 series at 212.9 inches and 76.4 inches, respectively. The extended cab with standard box measures 236.9 inches long. The K3500 extended cab with long box measures 255.7 inches.

Total loss of power steering on Ford EL futura.

The first thing to do is, isolate the problem. Crack the
the pressure line loose at the back of the power steering pump. If you can get at it, if not, jack it up put a stand under it and try to loosen it from the bottom.Or you can loosen the pressure line into the
rack.(or steering box as I don't know the year of the car) Snug up the line, and put on safty goggles.
Have somone get behind the wheel. Make sure the
ps fluid is full. Start the car and slowly loosen the line
a bit so the fluid shoots out have your helper turn
slightly to the right and back to center, then slightly
left and back to center. Each time the wheel is turned
the pressure should increase, if that happens, the
problem is in the rack.(or box) But if you have weak
pressure from the pump, the pump is bad.
Hope this helps. G,Day

Car pops when driving over curb into driveway -

Check the bushings in the wheel well that is making the noise - it could be a ball joint, sway bar end link, control arm link, or even an upper strut mount. Lots of things can cause the noises like that, but usually they're not too hard to see - failing bushings usually have visible tears and/or leakage of fluid.

Electrical Problem

Clean & inspect battery connections, (both ends), charge battery fully & have it load tested. I suspect bad connection, bad battery, and at worst, worn out starter.
