Question about 1996 Nissan Pathfinder
My cigarette lighter is not working and neither is the 12V outlet at the rear of the console. I'm thinking that it is a blown fuse that is the cause, however I cannot find a fuse diagram in the factory manual that came with the truck, nor is there one on the fuse cover. I just need to know which fuse slot covers the cigarette lighter and what the amp rating is. Dale
If you have a 12v test light you can test each fuse in the fuse box. Connect the test light cable to a good ground. Turn ignition to on/run position and using the test light probe, touch one side of a fuse and then the other side. Test light should light on both sides of the fuse. If it only lights on one side of a fuse then that fuse is blown. It says the amp rating on the fuse. Check all fuses, as there could be more than one fuse blown. Replace fuses with the same rating as the blown fuse. If you don't have a test light, you can get one at any auto parts store or even WalMart has them. Shouldn't be more than 4 or 5 dollars. Hope this helps . Good luck.
