Idleling is normal. When accelarating the car is slugish.when decelarating to stop at a low rpm engine dies. This only happens when you are stopping or driving from a high speed to low speed pr stopping

might need the warm air pipe from the exhaust to the inlet manifold looking at also the thermostat operating valve,if your not sure ask a local mecahnic to look at it for you

The gas in the tank actually provides cooling to your fuel pump.My best guess is that you ran low on fuel and the pump (which could have been marginal) has had it due to overheating.You will have to get the fuel system pressure checked to be sure or remove the main fuel line and see if fuel comes out.Have a bucket ready just in case.Good luck

I have a 95 Isuzu Trooper that had bad gas from the store, it started missing every know and then, then one day it just killed on me, we drained the gas, changed the spark plugs, but know you accelarate it...

you probably have a build up of "gunk" in the fuel pipe or injection system, the popping and stalling when accelarating could be tied to this (the valves probably gunked up) their is a kit wal-mart has that may help its a fuel injection (carb) cleaner the kit you can do at home and comes with directions or it can be done in the automotive garage.

I believe you may be referring to 'pinging', Try a tank of premium gas and see if it stops. Check your timing, and when was it last tuned? Let me know what u find. countrycurt0

Have you checked your vacuum lines? Also the fuel filter or the gas line might need replacement.
