Question about 2005 GMC Yukon Denali
THere is a loud popping/grinding noise coming from the Front Driver tire area. It is a 2005 Chevrolet z71 with 68000 miles on it. Doesnt sound like the roaring when wheel bearings go out. Thought maybe the CVC Joint had broken but I was told there would be a red fluid leaking if that was the problem. I cant see anything leaking.
Is this popping noise inconsistant. Mine only happens about every five miles or so and for only a few seconds at a time. I was told bearings and CV joint is there a way to tell the difference so I don't replace something that doesn't need it
Check yor lugnuts. Then chk to see if you have a brake pad that might be skipping back and forth. When you hear it again, apply light pressure to the brakes, safely and when noone is behind you. The pressure will snug the brake pads so they can't move but in forward rotation taking up any slack.
