SOURCE: 2006 uplander. How do you remove the lower center

i had to remove this due to my wife pushing the center cup holder off of the track. to remove it you need to remove both side panels of the console. you can do this by pulling on the sides, they have clips holding them. i also had to unscrew the front of the console door to gain access. take your time and dont pull too hard and you should be able to get it. before doing that, try reaching your hand around the back of the console to see if you can reach. it is hollow back there. good luck

How do I remove the coin tray from my sr5toyota hilux

My '04 Toyota Hilux cup holder came out as follows... You need to start by removing the dash trim that surrounds the instrument panel and air vents, as per the following. Looking through the steering wheel to the instrument panel, remove the two screws above the instrument panel window. Then remove the two screws under the steering column. Then carefully prise back the section of lower trim to the right of the radio, you will see another screw, remove this. The instrument trim is now free to be wiggled free from its clips. You will need to disconnect the lead to the digital clock. You can now remove the whole dash trim which contains the housing for the cup holder and place it on a work bench. If you then look down onto the sliding tray (from above) you will see two squareish tabs. These tabs are the limiting tabs preventing the tray from sliding out (under normal use). What you need to do is slide the tray out wards and using a flat screwdriver lever these tabs downwards as you pull gently on the tray. You should do one side at a time, so push one tab down until the draw is free on that side then while holding the draw steady repeat for the next tab. Once the two tabs are squeezed free the tray will slide out. With practice I suppose you could just pull the tray straight out (without removing the dash trim) by interting two hacksaw blades curved slightly upwards throught the front of the (open) tray to squeeze the tabs as you pull the draw forward but you need a little luck and knowledge of where the tabs are... And besides, removing the dash trim is pretty simple. With these instruction it should take no more than 10-15 minutes start to finish. Good luck!! Mike

Mouse in my heater , do I need to take apart center counsel, how is this done! And what else needs to come apart.

try setting a mouse trap up as it will become hungry and catch it but if a nest has been built you will indeed need to remove it .to prevent further issues .sometimes they are sheet metal screws others are riveted in but it should be a fairly easy job also the aid of a mirror and a flashlight will allow you to view that which you cannot see in some areas

How to remove the radio

The '94 to '97 Accord is not the easiest radio to remove. Start with the rear console. Two screws on the sides, then open the console pry open the plate at the bottom and remove those screws. Pull the parking brake up. Remove the cup holder insert.  Three more screws to remove. Now the console will unhook from the front console when you pull it up and to the rear.  Remove the ashtray and the screw behind it. Two more screws for the trim plate. Now the radio is exposed. Remember to disconnect the battery so you don't fire the airbags.

New center of dash board rattle on 06 Dodge Grand Caravan

sounds kinda silly, but any coins etc in the cup holders up front?? They rattle like crazy.

If its behind the cd / radio this item is easy to remove yourself. Start at the bottom from cup holder section, snap itout on the front and the sides are simple screws and plugs.

Did it myself to take coins out of the CD player that my 2yr old inserted??!! DOH

Good luck

Replacing factory radio

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} This is slightly tricky. Start by removing the trim around the shifter, its friction fitted so it will pop off with gentle force. Then you can remove the larger piece of trim that surrounds the shifter and extends up to the cup holders, I found that prying from the cup holder end seems to work best. Now you will be able to remove the trim that runs down the side of the center consol and includes the cup holders and power plug, you undo the 2 screws near the shifters then pry it off down the sides and pulls clear from the dash. Only then can you undo the bolts that hold down the bottom of the radio frame. From there it becomes alot easier. Push on the frame where you just pulled the bolts out of while prying gently at the radio consol. The whole thing will come out the factory unit comes out easily then you can put your dash adapter (schoche makes a decent kit) and aftermarket unit in.

An Item Has Fallen Into The Space Behind The Cup Holder? Help.

I recently had to retrieve a small object (camera battery) that was dropped in the cup holder. The battery allowed the cup holder to close properly, but it would not allow the cup holder to open all the way, making the cupholder useless. Getting access to remove the object was quick and easy - all it takes is a small flat blade screw driver. Use the screw driver to gently pry up the wood trim panel in front of the cup holder. Be sure to pull it up evenly from both sides and it will pop out of its retaining sockets. You'll then have the access you need. When you've finished, just realign the wood trim piece and tap it back into place. You can see a picture of where to pry at http://info5000.com/LS400_trim.jpg
